The Flag Day 2018 Celebration on East Dublin Granville Road received a boost to its planned Family Fun Celebration June 14 from 5-8pm when the YMCA North Branch agreed to host family games in the parking lot at the Columbus Square Shopping Center, and the Northland High School Viking Marching Band agreed to provide entertainment. The festival will also feature Jeff and Lorna Duffield’s Calliope Music Company.

Our newest US Citizens will be welcomed in a special event as part of the theme, which is celebrating the diversity of our New American businesses in the 161 Corridor.

The Flag Day Celebration will display 500 United States flags on four-foot poles in the many landscape boxes along Dublin-Granville Road. Businesses are invited to participate, and the business with the best flag display will receive a $250 gift card!

Businesses are encouraged to sponsor the Flag Day efforts by purchasing flags at $30 each and/or passing out free samples of food at the Family Fun Celebration event in the evening.
